The very latest on Bourne 3
Source: Empire Online
Matt Damon was in good spirits last night, blessed as he was with a glorious Empire Award for his role in The Bourne Supremacy. While we had Damon in our midst (and downing free drink) we’d clearly have been remiss not to probe the star on the deal with the third part in the Jason Bourne series, The Bourne Ultimatum, a film that will herald the return of the most kick-ass spy to grace our screens in decades (yes, Bond included).
Matt was chosen Best Actor for The Bourne Supremacy in this year’s Empire Awards. Go Matt!! Pictures are up here
Matt Damon will be honored as the Male Star of the Year at ShoWest 2005’s closing-night ceremony Thursday (March 17) at the Paris hotel in Las Vegas.
Damon, who starred last year in “The Bourne Supremacy” and “Ocean’s Twelve,” stars in Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming “Syriana,” written and directed by Stephen Gaghan, as well as Dimension Films’ “Brothers Grimm,” directed by Terry Gilliam. He next films Martin Scorsese’s “The Departed.”
This is so amazing! Congratulations Matt!

Matt is in the March issue of GQ Magazine (with Jennifer Garner on the cover). Can anyone scan it for me, please?
I don’t know how accurate this is, but IMDB.com is listing The Bourne Ultimatum as upcoming on 2007. I haven’t read anywhere else this, so, I don’t know if it’s true. IMDB.com is usually accurate, although I’ve seen some mistakes there. I will keep you posted!
After the success of both “Ocean’s” films, it’ll be no surprise to hear that George Clooney’s scouring though the ol’ Blue Eyes back catalogue for his next money spinner.
Clooney has reportedly just bought the rights to another ratpack flick “Robin And The 7 Hoods”, and already has “Ocean’s” pals Brad Pitt and Matt Damon (just to think if Mark Wahlberg had never jumped ship from “Ocean’s” – that’d be him sharing the screen with the former caped crusader time and time again) on board.
It’ll be updated, of course, from the original story of a corrupt Chicago Sheriff going against a mob, with Robin (likely to be played by Clooney) and his boys caught up in the middle.
The original “Robin and the 7 Hoods” (1964) starred Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Bing Crosby, Peter Falk, and Barbara Rush.
Wonder whether Steven Soderbergh will direct, or at the very least, produce?
